The company sustainably delivers the services and commodities in order to reduce the carbon foot print of all their partners and increase the affordability and accessibility of their products. Thereby making sustainable food more approachable by the masses, encouraging them to turn to a more healthy plant-based diet, both for themselves and the planet.  We explored the concept of feeling ‘one’ with nature, with local communities and the planet. The pictorial one used as a symbol to visually represent our shared vision for a better world—greener, healthier and happier.    It not only creates a visually strong and recognizable mark but also allows for flexibility, with the potential to incorporate different icons depending on the specific offering.       <image:caption>A Zero Pollution Delivery campaign by Niti Aayog &amp; Rocky Mountain Institute; aims at reducing pollution in India by creating a brand and certification program to recognize and promote efforts by e-commerce, fleet aggregators, and delivery companies who are adopting Electrical Vehicles (EVs) for final-mile deliveries.  Ants at work collaborated with Edelman India to design a functional mark which is easily recognizable or significant as a mark of ownership affiliation. It had to be bold, clear, simple, strong and distinctive. We used a stylised, illustrative version of the popular 'hand gesture' that visually represents the word 'Shoonya'. It also works as a mark of approval and agreement. Since the Zero Pollution Delivery campaign is an initiative for the betterment of the environment, the symbol clearly denotes that it is 'job well done'. It also doubles up as a mark of certification. We incorporated a 'leaf' in the counter space to make it relevant, ownable and convey green energy.       <image:caption>A design identity and communication for a casual dining Italian restaurant that pushes the boundaries of the pre-conceived notions about Italy and Italian cuisine. We evolved a language that reflected the warmth and feeling of an authentic Italian home – one that got into the skin of Italian culture as opposed to a superficial look at it. The name, Casa Mia or ‘My Home’ translated into the baseline ‘At home in Italy’. Casa Mia’s design, like its cuisine, offers a fresh, authentic and undiluted experience of sunny Italy. The visual language is simple and graphic with fresh and happy contemporary colours. It keeps in mind the homely theme and café-style interior of the restaurant with its family photos, bookshelves and café tables. The communication aims to create a perception of Casa Mia as an authority on everything Italian, and at the same time presents a fresh look at Italian cuisine and culture.       <image:caption>The brief was to create a coffee table book capturing ‘the making of’ the Bollywood film ‘Chef’ which takes you on a fun-filled, road trip with food and family as the focus. The book was used as a marketing tool at the launch of the film, taking readers on a gastronomical adventure through New York, Kerala, Goa, Amritsar and New Delhi. We did not want it to be a one-time read. So we had our most favourite recipes from each city illustrated beautifully in a water colour technique that kept bringing people back. The hand-drawn illustrations are used as footnote, depict the key highlights of the storyline in its original sequence. They serve as a thread tying in the story, but without giving away any clues.       <image:caption>Stripey is my ally, my friend, my alter ego and my companion, my expression and my voice of reason; in short, I exist through Stripey and Stripey exists through me! Stripey was born five years, 11 months and 3 days ago. I clearly recall the day when I was staring at my medical report in disbelief, reading a word that I barely knew how to pronounce. That day changed my life. From being someone who jumped into waterfalls without a thought, I suddenly became someone who could no longer lift a glass of water or walk up a flight of stairs with ease. They say inspiration is everywhere. For me this cannot be more true. So much so that my current inspiration is actually a disease -Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). For the uninitiated, RA causes excruciating pain in the joints amongst many other things. And this pain is governed by causes as varied as diet, activity, the weather and emotions. In short- everything. My doctor suggested I keep a journal to better manage my condition and that was the start of it all. I replaced the journal with a sketchbook and started to draw everything I was feeling, thinking, eating or drinking. What was originally intended only as a mundane record for my doctor, turned into my therapy. I realised that when I was drawing, I could go on and on without any complaint of pain. Just expressing my feelings on paper helped me release my agony.  Before I knew it, I had created a character – ‘Stripey’ who began to live this experience with me. I now have books full of experiences, pains, and remedies in the form of illustrations, which I hope to publish someday, to create awareness for people going through autoimmune disorders.</image:caption>

I’m a purist by the way. The Potato Bhujiya, or any of the other varieties out there, never hit the spot. Only the original Haldiram’s Bikaneri Bhujiya will do. *Crispy snack made of moth beans, chickpea powder and spices.</image:caption>

I kept ignoring warnings that Bhutta triggers inflammation and could make my joints crazy painful till one day my body rebelled. My pain exploded and I couldn’t get out of bed for 3 days! I’m still so scarred by the experience that even on a cheat day Bhutta won’t figure on the menu. But you know what’s really tragic? Bhutta is truly my one in a million. But after all my alternative treatments featured Lauki in a starring role, I just couldn’t dismiss it any more. During my naturopathy treatment I was allowed nothing but Lauki for breakfast, lunch AND dinner. Can you imagine? I dreamt of the day I’d be free of it! Then one day I realized how much I actually liked it, how good it was for me and I was hooked! I’m more into my Lauki than ever before! It’s my go-to when I’m in the slightest pain and I find that it helps. Plus it barely has any calories, is easy to digest and you can cook it in many different ways. Like in a vegetable dish, Lauki parathas, soup, juice, etc. I was about to start making pasta sauce with Lauki until a very passionate Italian friend of mine lost it!</image:caption>

Just because something doesn’t taste sweet doesn’t mean there’s no sugar in there. Always check the ingredients especially of pre-packaged food.       <image:caption>It’s in all the yummy food I've grown up eating –  Samosas, Vada Pav, Croissants and Hakka Noodles to Pizzas, Burgers, Rotis, and more. But, I have no choice. Because gluten triggers - you guessed it! - inflammation and therefore my pain. I’ll admit it was hard to get my head around avoiding gluten. But I finally realised that I had to pretty much stop eating the way I used to and find alternatives for EVERYTHING I liked. Well, after many years and quite a lot of experimentation, I’ve come to enjoy gluten-free alternatives like jowar, ragi, oats, rice, sourdough, etc. But that said, nothing compares to a crispy croissant with melting chocolate so every once in a while I let myself fall into that gooey trap.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>The brief was to create a coffee table book capturing ‘the making of’ the Bollywood film ‘Chef’ which takes you on a fun-filled, road trip with food and family as the focus. The book was used as a marketing tool at the launch of the film, taking readers on a gastronomical adventure through New York, Kerala, Goa, Amritsar and New Delhi. We did not want it to be a one-time read. So we had our most favourite recipes from each city illustrated beautifully in a water colour technique that kept bringing people back. The hand-drawn illustrations are used as footnote, depict the key highlights of the storyline in its original sequence. They serve as a thread tying in the story, but without giving away any clues.
